Please check the website of the museum you are planning to visit before reserving the pass.
The Library offers free or reduced admission passes to visit area museums, attractions, and venues. All you need is a valid library card! Passes are available as printable or non-printable. This service is funded by the Windsor Library Association.
To get started you will need your library card and your PIN. Your PIN is the same one used when you login to your Library Account, or use our catalog. If you don’t remember your PIN or need help please contact the Reference staff.
Windsor residents may reserve passes up to 3 months in advance. Non-residents with a CT library card need to call the library to reserve their pass using same-day service. Same day service is first come, first served, regardless of residency status. Passes are popular during the summer months. Please consider others before booking any pass more than once during the summer.
If your plans change, please call us to cancel your reservation so that another patron can use the pass.
You must print the pass to use it. Electronic versions will not be accepted by museums. Some museums may ask to see identification that matches the pass printout. Printed passes do not need to be returned to the library.
Non-printable passes may be picked up at the Reference Desk after 3:00 p.m. the day before your reservation. They must be returned by 10:00 a.m. the day after. They are not renewable.
These include: Amelia Park Children’s Museum, CT Beardsley Zoo, CT State Parks, Connecticut Science Center, Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory & Garden, The Springfield Museums, and the Windsor Historical Society.
Overdue fee is $10.00 per day if non-printable pass is not returned on time. Patrons are responsible for the full price in the event a pass is lost. These costs range from $65 to $350.
